Outdoor Loose cable to be pre-terminated, with corrugated steel tape metallic armour, PE (polyethylene) outer jacket, 250 μm primary coating of the fiber, longitudinal and transverse water-penetration resistant. The corrugated steel tape offers a safer and more effective mechanical protection against rodents and compressive stresses. Optical fibers are kept together inside a thermoplastic tube filled with water-blocking gel to prevent moisture penetration.

Applications and performance

Cable suitable for the realization of cabling systems for outdoor use according to EN 50173, ISO/IEC 11801 norms. Depending on the type of fiber and on the length of the link, they are suitable for the realization of transmission channels up to and exceeding 10GbE. Ideal for laying in pipes or ducts for the realization of outdoor backbones connecting buildings in environments where a high water resistance is required
